Hog Hill Winter League

Hog Hill Winter League

Postby The_Machine on Tue Dec 29, 2009 5:25 pm

The good folks at Redbridge Cycling Centre have been running their winter series again this year every Saturday for the last few weeks, and will continue to over the coming weeks as well. Only took part down there twice so far since coming home from uni, but have found it to be reasonably enjoyable and would probably do them more if I didn't have to go back to uni!! Track is quite entertaining to ride too. Nabbed some ok results so far, (two 3rd place finishes), which is pleasing seeing as I'm far from being in the best condition - but then again, the "real" racing season is still few weeks off so enough time to iron those issues out.
I'm hoping to go there once more before I head back to uni on Jan 2nd, -weather permitting- it ain't looking too great on the forecast at the moment
Anyway, if any other SDCC people are interested, I'll be there for the E1234 race

4th cat only race starts at 12:30, followed by the E1234 at 13:30.
£10 league fee, and £10-£12 EOL fee

Gav, I'm looking to do some from the 23rd January. Are you going to do anymore, or will you be back at university for the remainder? Also, did you have to register before your first event, or did you just turn up & enter the league on the line too?

Kristian, you can rock up and register for the league and pay for the race in person on the same day. £10 registration, then either £10 or £12 depending on the race you enter. Rest assured it won't fill up, -for whatever reason the numbers have been a bit low, but I would have thought they will pick up for the rest of the year. I wont be able to make anymore races as I'm due off university soon. Sure you can carry the SDCC colours well though, that hill isn't as much of a "hog" as it is claimed to be!
